Il Manuale del Calcio is a new book by the late Agostino Di Bartolomei. It is a collection of words and thoughts by legendary Roma figure Agostino Di Bartolomei – known as Ago – on every aspect of calcio, on and off the field, aimed towards kids to get them to remember the value of loyalty and respect in the game.
Luca Di Bartolomei, his son, was involved in its publishing and all proceeds of it will go to building sports center for disabled children.
“Si ammira sempre la semplicità con la quale un grande campione rende facili le cose anche più complicate. Ma cosa c’è dietro questa semplicità? Sinceramente doti naturali, ma anche tanto lavoro, studio e concentrazione per essere sempre al meglio. Questo mio testo, che non vuole insegnare nulla, cercherà di far conoscere soprattutto ai ragazzi e a tutti gli appassionati di calcio quelle poche e utili nozioni che possono aiutare a trovare quella semplicità di gioco che secondo me è la chiave di questo sport meraviglioso”.
