Cagliari unveiled a special centenary shirt celebrating their 100th birthday when they took on AC Milan at the Sardegna Arena recently.
“A special jersey in order to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Rossoblu: on Saturday January 11th, at Sardegna Arena, Cagliari Calcio will wear for the first time the jersey dedicated to its Centenary,” read a statement on the Cagliari website. “The kit has been produced in limited edition by Macron, a leading manufacturer in the teamwear industry, and designed by the inspiration of the stylist Antonio Marras, who also created the special Centenary logo.
The shirt is a special limited edition with only 2020 pieces available and comes in a specially produced package. It will be available to buy on the online stores of Cagliari and Macron from 19:20 today and from the Cagliari 1920 Store and the Macron Store Cagliari on Saturday 11th.
The Centenary logo was unveiled on the occasion of the international fashion show taking place in Florence, during which also the new official uniforms designed by Marras himself and made by Lubiam were presented, worn by Leonardo Pavoletti and Luca Ceppitelli. As stated by the designer born in Alghero, the true protagonist of this rebranding:
“I like challenges and this great opportunity to collaborate with Cagliari Calcio seemed to me unmissable. I love Cagliari and its people, I love the tenacity, courage and generosity of Cagliari Calcio that represents it. The logo comes from the heart, from my land, from the sea, from the colors and the strength!”
