Kit concept master Alberto Mariani returns with new AS Roma ‘lightning’ kit collection for 2019-20. Based on a leak from FootyHeadlines.com for Roma’s potential new Nike jersey, the kits take inspiration from some of Roma’s classic kits from the early 2000’s. The red home shirt is inspired by the classic 2002-03 Champions League jersey, with the yellow shoulders transformed into a zig-zag lightning pattern. The away is white with a striking horizontal pattern, while the 3rd is based on the 2002-03 navy, red and yellow colour combo which is rumoured to be making a comeback, complete with that striking lightning effect on the shoulders. The crests in all three (no lupetto on the 3rd unfortunately, as per the original) are also modified with the pattern subtly added which is an interesting if controversial development. All in all, these are three great kit concepts from Alberto once again which are sure to catch the eye.
