Ballesterer Fußballmagazin is an independent football magazine based in Vienna, Austria. It is published 10 times a year and focuses mainly on the culture surrounding football, the commercialism of the game and the fan reaction. If the theme of no al calcio moderno – no to modern football – were to ever have its own magazine, this may well be it.
The magazine is designed by Vienna based design agency LWZ and the layout is strong and crisp, echoing the serious and intelligent nature of the content. Printed on rough textured offset paper, the design focuses on typography, structured layout, and grids and lines as opposed to bright DPS colours and images, giving it an almost classic look.
