UC Sampdoria debuted their 2017/18 home kit during the final round of the Serie A season against Napoli at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris. Boasting their recognisable iconic horizontal stripe design, the new Sampdoria 17-18 jersey is blue with a thinner white, red and black chest stripe. The inside of the collar reads ‘La maglia piu bella del mondo’ (The world’s most beautiful jersey).
Made by Spanish Sportswear manufacturer Joma, the Sampdoria club crest is located on the outside left sleeve while a shield containing the flag of the city of Genoa is embroidered on the mid-chest area of the kit.
A more simplistic approach then we have seen in previous years, the new Sampdoria home kit is classic example of keeping it minimal to leave a lasting impression, at least, that is, until the two main sponsor logos are imprinted upon it.
